POUNCE on this, a*$hole

Since there's been talk of tattoos lately...
So, I've got this tattoo, and I loved it. In fact, I still sorta like it, except I know it needs some touch-up, which I've been meaning to do for, well forEVER. But lately I've been thinking about getting it covered up. Seriously. With a different tattoo, anyway. So, my lovelies, what do you think? What can I get this covered up with?

Because, uh, here's the issue. Apparently every motherhumper besides my kid thinks that they are oh-so funny and they say something along the lines of "Oh, is Tigger giving it to Pooh?" or "Wow, I didn't know they were gay" or "Dude, are they fucking?" And every f-ing time, I have to explain to the stupid people, "Noooooooo, Tigger POUNCES. He POUNCES on everyone. Get your damn mind out of the gutter!"

And frankly, I'm so sick of explaining and getting the sideways glances and giggles. *defeated sigh*

So, I was thinking of getting Pooh covered up, so Tigger is left. Or, maybe I could get something like a cherry blossom branch and they could tattoo lots of white over all of it? Hell, I really need to see a good artist for this one.

Any suggestions, people?

Also, my brother has been hounding me for YEARS to go get another tattoo, and I totally want to, but I want something that means something to me. And I'm thinking of getting something on the top of my foot, or on my shoulder. Squeee!

Even if they were going at it, I don't think that position would be too comfortable for very long.

My wife had a little purple rose on her lower stomach and she got a design over that last summer. The new design looks awesome! So I would think that if you wanted to get it touched up or have it covered, there has got to be an artist who could come up wiht something creative!

Beautiful Danielle-lee, I'm sure there are so many things you could do with this one. I would suggest that you find a really, really fantastic artist (not only good, FANTASTIC) who's got a bit of experience with cover-up tattoos. Then talk with them about what they can do for you. If it means travelling to find the right artist, just do it. It's worth all the money and hassle in the end. Best of luck, lovely lady.

I love the Tigger and Pooh. People are just stupid. But something awesome to cover it up would be sweet.

I'm getting a tattoo. I've been saying that FOREVER and need to just get it done already.

The hardest thing is figuring out what to get.

LOL I just got new tats, too. You'd be amazed at the things they can cover up and you can't even tell they were there. Colored tattoos usually need a little reinking done every so many years anyway.

Gack! I never would have thought of that! Tigger POUNCES! But I see what you mean, once you hear that it's hard to look at that tattoo the same way again.
I suggest getting it lasered. There are places that will do it for free, you just have to look. The laser wave busts up the ink and your body reabsorbs it and over a few sessions the tattoo fades and goes away. But if you go once and get it lightened even a little bit it will give you more options for the new tattoo. You won't have to get something super dark or what have you just to cover up. :)

I would get it lasered and totally covered with something else.

I say leave it just the way it is. You got it because it meant something to you and don't let some pervy strangers take that away from you. If if had a quarter for anytime someone called my tattoo a "tramp stamp" I could hire someone to kick them in the weiner.

Who the hell thinks about two beloved cartoon characters doing the nasty? Good lord! I have no ideas, but I've seen some pretty good cover-ups on those various tatoo shows on TLC. You can totally get something you love.

Oh pffft people with the comments about them being naughty.

I'd say if it bugs you to maybe got with the laser option. I don't think you can turn that into anything that you'd like (as in a totally different tat...I think it's cute)- or wipe him out with a bunch of grass. Or a tree branch with Tigger on the tree branch? Frick. I dunno.
